The VCO Foundation, through its founder Valentine Ozigbo, has made a significant commitment to support the Holy Childhood Association at St Joseph Catholic Church, Amesi, during the maiden pastoral visit of His Eminence, Peter Ebere Cardinal Okpaleke, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Ekwulobia. During the service, which included the confirmation of approximately 100 young Catholics, Cardinal Okpaleke’s interaction with the Holy Childhood Association revealed that several children lacked proper uniforms due to financial constraints.

Following the Cardinal’s initial pledge to provide fabric rolls, Mr Ozigbo, through the VCO Foundation, stepped forward with a comprehensive solution, committing to provide uniforms for all remaining children in need. “Supporting these young members of our church community aligns perfectly with the VCO Foundation’s mission of empowering youth and fostering dignity”, stated Valentine Ozigbo. “We are honoured to partner with the church in ensuring that every child can participate fully in church and academic activities”. The foundation’s swift response to this need exemplifies its dedication to community service and youth development. Mr Ozigbo also took the opportunity to congratulate and encourage the newly confirmed young Catholics, emphasising the importance of their spiritual journey. His Eminence, Cardinal Okpaleke, commended the foundation’s generous intervention, noting how it embodied the Christian spirit of community support and charitable giving.

The initiative is expected to benefit dozens of children from the Holy Childhood Association, providing them with proper uniforms for their church activities.
