VALENTINE OZIGBO SPEAKS ON INSECURITY IN ANAMBRA STATE || “WAKE UP SERIES by VCO” || EP02
In this edition of the Wake Up Series, I have critically analyzed the most pressing problem bedeviling Anambra State today – Insecurity.
It is utterly unacceptable that the lives of Ndi Anambra are not being secured, as this is the primary role of the government according to Section 14(2)(b) of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, which states that “Security and welfare of the people shall be the primary purpose of government.”
Not only is this the Constitutional obligation of the Governor, but he clearly stated it in his manifesto as one of the 5 Pillars of his governance module, which he tagged Social Contract With Ndi Anambra.
So, why the breach of contract?
Why is the safety of the lives and property of Ndi Anambra treated as a non-priority?
Umunne m, join me in this edition of the #WakeUpSeries as I discuss the prevalence of insecurity in Anambra State. Watch the full video on YouTube: youtu.be/lk9kw7uYark
