Val Ozigbo concluded a successful tour of a few European cities following my visit to Algeria for the CANEX WEEKEND 2024
I just concluded a successful tour of a few European cities following my visit to Algeria for the CANEX WEEKEND 2024. This consultative mission focused on changing our narrative for good and the critical role of the Diaspora, particularly as it relates to our dear State, Anambra, and the South East.
My journey began in Rome on the 20th. I had earlier reported on the outcome of my engagements with the Nigerian Priests, Religious and Seminarians living in Rome. I was meant to meet up with a few of our people afterwards, but the city marathon led to road closures, so we had to switch virtually and hold a few conversations.
I will like to thank Mr. Chineh C Uzoma, Henry and Chinedu for putting together this constructive meeting.
That same evening, I headed to Frankfurt, where Elder Tango Ugochukwu, Victor Anywuike, Ochiliozo, and Chinaka Uzoma, among others, graciously hosted us.
My next stop on Oct 21st was Zurich, where we had very meaningful engagements. We started off with a visit to Bern to meet with the Head of Mission at the Nigerian Embassy in Switzerland Chief Chijioke Ani (Onwa).
We later had a very well attended TownHall in Zurich hosted by Chief Nwankwor Jude (Odinaka), President Emeritus Anambra People’s Association, Switzerland, together with Chief Matthew Ogbueri (President Emeritus Igbo Union Switzerland), Barrister Dozie C.Ugochukwu (President Nigeria Business forum Switzerland), Mr. Chijioke Micah Edozie (President Anambra People’s Association Switzerland), Mr Augustine Madumere (President Igbo Union Zurich), Nze Ugochukwu Obi (President Anambra people’s Association France), Mrs Chinenye Ogbus (Vice president NIDO), among others.
